Moonrise Kingdom

I finally saw Moonrise Kingdom this week. I’ve noticed I tend to procrastinate in seeing Wes Anderson’s latest films. Expectations are so high, I worry about disappointment. But, Moonrise Kingdom is so sweet, you’d have to be heartless not to love it. The scenes are beautiful and whimsical as Anderson always delivers, and Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward as Sam and Suzy are awkward perfection. While this film doesn’t have the weight of a Life Aquatic or the smarts of a Royal Tenenbaums, it captures a charming innocence we can’t ignore.

ImageSnap Ceramic Tiles

Instagram is huge right now. My sister-in-law, Vanessa has been chronicling baby Henry’s life with the app and the pictures are awesome. For her birthday this year, I decided to try out ImageSnap. They take your Instagram (or any) photos and print them on ceramic tiles. The teeny tiles are 2" by 2" and are the perfect size for fridge magnets. They turned out really great and I’ll definitely be ordering more real soon.
