Maps as Home Decor

I've been searching the internet for the perfect map to hang in our home. It's a fun and educational way of honoring the places we love. I've seen a lot of beautiful, hand-created maps that could bring life to any blank wall. Here are a handful I loved the most.

Made for kids, but perfect for any light-hearted home. I love the drawings of each state's icons and the whimsical handwritten lettering. A little pricey, but so much fun.

Future Maps are printed through a lithographic process and use special metallic inks. The colors are beautiful and the level of detail is perfect. You can also order with magnetic backing for marking your travels or adding personal touches.

This wall map doesn't appear to be available anymore (bummer). It is a “one of a find” from CB2 and the description says they were all hand painted. Would have loved to snatch up one of these.

Ork Posters Inc. creates silhouettes of beloved cities, divided and labeled into respective neighborhoods. Although they don't have Phoenix or Paris up there, I do love the typographic treatment.
